Real Christmas Trees come in all shapes and sizes as you can see from the photos below.  The trees we choose to decorate for our homes are trimmed as they grow to give them an even shape and to stop them from growing too tall. In Australia we mostly use the Monterey (Radiata) pine for our Christmas trees as they grow well in our hot dry climate. These trees can grow up to  over 18 metres (60 feet) tall.
