Melbourne holds some amazing Free Christmas Light and Sound Shows. Here are some of the big shows on in 2012.
Melbourne Town Hall Christmas Projections
The outside of Melbourne Town Hall is displaying a spectacular light show again this year. Dates: 30/11/2012 – 25/12/2012, 9pm – 11pm, at 100 Swanston Street Melbourne VIC 3000

Road To Bethlehem
Road to Bethlehem is an interactive drama, where groups of people walk from scene to scene. Each show lasts 40 minutes, with a new group starting off about every 6 minutes.There is entertainment to amuse you while you wait. Shows are also put on in Brisbane, Erina in NSW, Livingstone i WA and Tauranga in New Zealand. Website

Oxley Christian College / Life Ministry Centre
The show, which features over 30,000 lights is on nightly from 10th December at 9pm and runs for about 25 minutes at 5-49 Old Melbourne Rd. Chirnside Park.

Crown Casino Christmas Fantastic
The Crown Casino Atrium is again putting on its Christmas Fantastic light, sound and 3D projection show. The show is running from 10am to Midnight, 7 Days a week. The theme is the Twelve Days of Christmas and features 98 highly gigantic decorated Christmas baubles. Special guest stars, dancers and Santa will be dropping in to entertain you too.
Christmas Fantastic will feature 98 highly decorated gigantic Christmas baubles “scattered” throughout the Atrium in various sizes.
