Lyrics

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen,
Over the moon so bright
Thirty-two feet and eight little tails of white,
Hurry, hurry, hurry through the night,
Faster, faster, faster through the sky.

Oh!  Look at  ’em go,
Santa’s laughin’.
Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho,
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen,
Over the garden wall.

Thirty-two feet and eight little tails in all.
See ’em canter, hear ol’ Santa call,
“Merry, merry Christmas to you all.”
Ol’ Saint Nick he works so quickly leavin’ toys for girls and boys.
Then over the roof so high
Thirty-two fee and eight little tails they fly,
Hurry, hurry, hurry through the night.
Faster, faster, faster through the sky.

Oh!  Look at ’em go,
Santa’s laughin’.
Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho,
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen,
Over the garden wall,

Thirty-two feet and eight little tails in all
ee ’em canter, hear ol’ Santa call,
“Merry, merry Christmas to you all.”

Lyrics

You know Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
the most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
they never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
“Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how the reindeer loved him
And they shouted out with glee
“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You’ll go down in history!”

6 White Boomers

Six White Boomers is a popular Australian Christmas Song. A boomer is a kangaroo. On Christmas Day, after delivering his presents,Santa finds a little joey (baby Kangaroo) who has lost her mother. Santa unhooks his reindeer and uses 6 white kangaroos to pull his sleigh to go and find the joey’s mother.

Lyrics

Early on one Christmas Day a Joey kangaroo,
Was far from home and lost in a great big zoo.
‘Mummy, where’s my mummy? They’ve taken her away.’
(sound of reindeer hoofs approaching)
We’ll help you find your mummy, son. Hop up on the sleigh.’

Up beside the bag of toys little Joey hopped,
But they hadn’t gone far when Santa stopped.
Unharnessed all the reindeer and Joey wondered why,
then he heard a far off booming in the sky.

Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun.
Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
On his Australian run.

Pretty soon old Santa began to feel the heat,
took his fur lined boots off to cool his feet,
Into one popped Joey, feeling quite okay,
While those old man Kangaroos kept pulling on the sleigh.

Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun.
Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
On his Australian run.

Joey said to Santa, ‘Santa, what about the toys?
Aren’t you giving some to these girls and boys?’
‘They’ve got all their presents, son, we were here last night,
this trip is an extra trip, Joey’s special flight.’

Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun.
Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
On his Australian run.

Soon the sleigh was flashing past right over Marble Bar,
‘Slow down there,’ cried Santa, ‘it can’t be far,
Come up on my lap here, son, and have a look around.’
‘There she is, that’s Mummy, bounding up and down.’

Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun.
Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
On his Australian run.

Well that’s the bestest Christmas treat that Joey ever had,
Curled up in mother’s pouch feeling snug and glad.
the last they saw was Santa heading northwards from the sun,
the only year the boomers worked a double run.

Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun.
Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
On his Australian run.
