Are there many houses lit up with Christmas lights near you? More and more houses in Australia are lit up each year. Solar lights are very popular because it is summer here with long days of sunshine.
Today we bring you some of the best light shows around the world in 2013.
We start off with the Richards Family home in Canberra, Australia, which has 502,165 lights and over 48 kilometers of wire. The house has won a 2013 Guinness World Record for the most lights. They won the record in 2011 too.
The Larsen Christmas Lights in Elburn USA with its lights, lasers and videos is also huge.
The next show isn’t at a home but in Jellystone Park in Nashville, Tennessee. There are over 1 million lights in this 2 mile long drive through light show.
Our final video is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, displayed on the Streets of America set at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. There are over 10 miles of rope lighting and another 30 miles of extension cords. The Osborne family started this show at their own house but neighbors complained about the 6 million lights and the show was shut down. Hollywood Studios offered to host the show instead.
