Here’s a list of Christmas Markets, and some regular markets, to be held in December 2014 on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
Shopping at a seaside market is much more pleasant than fighting the crowds at a shopping centre. You can buy unique gifts, locally produced, high quality, fresh produce, and join in a holiday atmosphere.
If you need to go to a shopping centre, you’ll find everything you need at the large Frankston’s Bayside Shopping Centre, Karingal Hub and, Frankston Power Centre. Then there’s all the shopping streets along the coast including the delightful Mornington Main Street with lots of gift shops and cafes. Somerville, close to the farm, has a thriving shopping centre, including a Target store.
If you have children giving them some time at the beach will help them cope with the shopping. Match the day you visit with an evening when there’s a carols concert. (I’ll tell you about those in my next post)
The Peninsula Link has cut travel time right down.
