The annual Frankston Christmas Festival of Lights extravaganza takes place on Saturday 29th November from 5pm to 10pm. The center of activities is on the corner of Davey & Young Streets, Frankston. Entry is free.
Come along, get your Christmas Season off to a good start, and get into a festive mood. The Christmas spirit will help you through the tasks of shopping, gift wrapping, baking and decorating that comes in December. The kids will love it and there’s plenty to entertain adults as well as the kids.
5pm Watch the Santa Parade and join in the song “Santa’s Coming to Town. Santa and Mrs Clause arrive in different types of transport each year. I wonder what it will be this year? Santa will go to the Santa House in Cube 37 where he’ll be greeting children from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
Presented by Brodie Harper, there will be something for everyone with live entertainment all through the evening.

There’ll be a huge variety of food stalls for dinner, snacks and treats with plenty of seating.

Buy Christmas gifts, including gourmet Christmas foods, candles, jewelry and children’s clothes from the Christmas Market.
Fireworks and Lighting of the Christmas Tree
The evening comes to a spectacular end with fireworks and the lighting of the Frankston Christmas Tree (a 100-year-old Norfolk Pine) at 9.30pm
For The Kids
There will be two areas of carnival rides, one for the littlies and one for older kids. The cost will be between $2 and $8.
Kids will have fun with the laughing clowns, Angry Birds and Basketball Games
Sesame Street’s Elmo and Friends Live on Stage
Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and Grover will be singing favorite Sesame Street Songs and discovering what the letter C stands for. Show times: 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm, 9.30pm –
Meet ‘n’ Greet Captain Barnacles
Say hello and get hugs, high-5s and photos with Captain Barnacles who’ll be just outside the Frankston Arts Centre between 5:00pm and 8:30pm.
North Pole Children’s Activity Centre
Your kids can join in the Christmas arts and crafts in the Frankston Arts Centre.

- Dress up and be part of the St Luke’s Anglican Church Live Nativity Scene.
