The first day of opening of the Christmas Tree farm this year is on the same day as the Frankston Christmas Festival of Lights, Saturday 24th November.

The Festival, in Davey Street, Frankston,  which runs from 5.00pm to 10.00pm, will be started off by Santa and Mrs Claus and the host, Sonia Marinelli, from Nine News. Davey Street will be transformed into a magical wonderland.

Entertainment will run all evening. Performing on the main stage will be  Andrew Wishart, The Christmas Show, Melbourne Gospel Choir, Carols by Candlelight, the cast from PLOS Musical Productions The Secret Garden, The Children’s Performing Company of Australia  and more.

Frankston Arts Centre will host the North Pole Children’s Activity Centre, with arts and crafts, Fenix fitness, giveaways and a nativity scene. Bananas in Pyjamas will be performing in the Arts Centre Theatre. (5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm).

In the Arts Centre’s Cube 37 you will find Santa and Mrs Claus , “37 Friends for Arts Sake” performing a unique Christmas Carol, and a community art installation.

There will be rides, amusements and a food court.  Alex the Lion from Madagascar 3 will be wandering around to say hello.

There will be a tree lighting ceremony at 9.30 pm, where a 100 year old Norfolk Pine will be lit u. Following this, the fireworks begin.
